1-(5-Bromofur-2-yl)-2-bromo-2-nitroethene (G1) is an antimicrobial agent active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yeasts, and filamentous fungi. 1-(5-Bromofur-2-yl)-2-bromo-2-nitroethene is marketed in Cuba as Dermofural®, an ointment containing G1 as the only active principle ingredient. It is used to treat dermatological infections.
