Uses

Fura Septin is used for the infectious conditions of the skin such as burns, wounds, ulcers, skin infections and skin grafting.

Dosage

Fura Septin dosage

To be applied directly to the lesion or on gauze first; 2-3 times daily or as advised by the physician.

Side Effects

Sensitization and generalized allergic skin reactions may be produced after few days of initial application. Cross sensitization to other Fura Septin derivatives may occur. Intolerance to Fura Septin necessitating withdrawal has been encountered.

Precaution

G6PD deficiency, renal impairment.

Pregnancy category- B

Contraindication

Fura Septin is contraindicated to patients with known sensitivity to Fura Septin. It is not advisable to use Fura Septin after the infection is cured. It should be used with caution in patients with known or suspected renal impairment.
