Uses

Furament is used for the infectious conditions of the skin such as burns, wounds, ulcers, skin infections and skin grafting.

Dosage

Furament dosage

To be applied directly to the lesion or on gauze first; 2-3 times daily or as advised by the physician.

Side Effects

Sensitization and generalized allergic skin reactions may be produced after few days of initial application. Cross sensitization to other Furament derivatives may occur. Intolerance to Furament necessitating withdrawal has been encountered.

Precaution

G6PD deficiency, renal impairment.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding use

Pregnancy category- B

Contraindication

Furament is contraindicated to patients with known sensitivity to Furament. It is not advisable to use Furament after the infection is cured. It should be used with caution in patients with known or suspected renal impairment.
