Uses
Germax is used for the infectious conditions of the skin such as burns, wounds, ulcers, skin infections and skin grafting.
Dosage
Germax dosage
To be applied directly to the lesion or on gauze first; 2-3 times daily or as advised by the physician.
Side Effects
Sensitization and generalized allergic skin reactions may be produced after few days of initial application. Cross sensitization to other Germax derivatives may occur. Intolerance to Germax necessitating withdrawal has been encountered.
Precaution
G6PD deficiency, renal impairment.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding use
Pregnancy category- B
Contraindication
Germax is contraindicated to patients with known sensitivity to Germax. It is not advisable to use Germax after the infection is cured. It should be used with caution in patients with known or suspected renal impairment.
