Endogenous hyaluronic acid provides viscosity and elasticity to synovial fluid, which is fundamental for its lubricating and shock absorbing properties. In osteoarthritis there is an insufficient amount of and a chance in the quality of hyaluronic acid in synovial fluid and cartilage. Dosage
