Investigated for use/treatment in hepatitis (viral, C).
How ISIS 14803 works
ISIS 14803 blocks the synthesis of disease-causing proteins by preventing translation of viral RNA. In the case of hepatits C virus (HCV), an antisense oligodeoxynucleotide directed against a specific HCV sequence effectively inhibits viral gene expression.
