Lactobacillus coryniformis has immunomodulatory activity. Administration of a Lc K8 probiotic prior to the influenza vaccine in adults over the age of 65 showed a higher percentage of vaccine responders and a significantly lower incidence of respiratory symptoms associated with respiratory infections.
