Uses
Indicated for Burn, Eczema, Seborrhetic dermatitis, Ecthyma, Excoriation, Folliculitis, Furunculosis, Insect bites and stings, Lacerations and abrasions, Paronychia, Pyoderma gangrenosum, Skin cysts and abscesses, Stasis ulcers and infected skin ulcers, Bacterial, fungal or viral superinfection, Sycosis barbae, minor surgical wounds, infected contact dermatitis caused by susceptible organisms.Dosage
Monamycin Cream 0.3% dosage
Apply 3 times daily. Before application, the area should be washed with soap and water and dried thoroughly. If crusts present, it should be removed before the application of ointment to provide maximum contact with the infecting organisms.Side Effects
Itching, redness, swelling or other signs of irritation.Precaution
Gentamicin Ointment should not be applied to patients hypersensitive to Gentamicin.Pregnancy & Breastfeeding use
Pregnancy Category D. Small amounts of Gentamicin have been detected in breast milk. So, it is recommended that breastfeeding should be discontinued during treatment.Contraindication
Gentamicin injection and Gentamicin ointment are contraindicated to patients hypersensitive to Gentamicin. It is contraindicated in pregnancy and myasthenia gravis.Storage Condition
