Astaxanthin acts as an antioxidant by dual mode of action. It suppresses singlet oxygen and also inhibits lipid peroxidation. By these actions it reduces the harmful free radicals. Therefore acts as a very strong antioxidant. Astaxanthin is absorbed by passive diffusion into the intestinal epithelium alongside fatty acids. Then it is incorporated into lipoproteins, transported to the liver, via lymph and blood and partly resecreted with lipoproteins. More than 70% of the Astaxanthin is contained in high-density lipoprotein part of plasma. Highest concentration of Astaxanthin is in the small intestine, followed by subcutaneous fat, spleen, liver, heart, kidney and skin and lowest in the muscles.
fructose is frequently derived from sugar cane, sugar beets, and corn. Crystalline fructose is the monosaccharide, dried, ground, and of high purity. High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is a mixture of glucose and fructose as monosaccharides. Sucrose is a compound with one molecule of glucose covalently linked to one molecule of fructose. All forms of fructose, including fruits and juices, are commonly added to foods and drinks for palatability and taste enhancement, and for browning of some foods, such as baked goods.
Selenomethionine is a naturally occuring amino acid in some plant materials such as cereal grains, soybeans and enriched yeast but it cannot be synthesized from animals or humans. It can be produced from post-structural modifications. In vivo, selenomethionine plays an essential role in acting as an antioxidant, where it depletes reactive oxygen species (ROS) and aids in the formation and recycling of glutathione, another important antioxidant. In comparison to selenite, which is the inorganic form of selenium, the organic form of selenomethionine is more readily absorbed in the human body. Selenomethionin is used in biochemical laboratories where its incorporation into proteins that need to be visualized enhances the performance of X-ray crystallography.
Taurine, whose chemical name is 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid, is one of the most abundant amino acids in several organs. It plays important role in essential biological processes. This conditional amino acid can be either be manufactured by the body or obtained in the diet mainly by the consumption of fish and meat. The supplements containing taurine were FDA approved by 1984 and they are hypertonic injections composed by cristalline amino acids.
The diet supplements containing taurine are formulated as a well-tolerated nitrogen source for nutritional support. Administration of diet supplements regulates the level of plasma amino acid concentration, nitrogen balance, weight and serum protein concentration to reach normal values, thus improving the nutritional status.
Ubiquinol (CoQH2) is a reduced form of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) that acts as an active antioxidant that prevents the initiation and propagation of lipid peroxidation in biological membranes and human low-density lipoprotein (LDL). It plays an essential role in maintaining cellular defense against oxidative damage and also sustains the effects of vitamin E by regenerating the vitamin from the tocopheroxyl radical, but ubiquinol is not classified as a vitamin because it is synthesized by humans. There are varying concentrations of ubiquinol in foods, OTC products and dietary supplement products.
Zinc is an essential trace mineral, which means that it must be obtained from the diet since the body cannot make enough. Next to iron, zinc is the most abundant trace mineral in the body. Stored primarily in muscle, zinc is also found in high concentrations in red and white blood cells, the retina of the eye, bones, skin, kidneys, liver, and pancreas. Some of the symptoms of zinc deficiency include loss of appetite, poor growth, weight loss, impaired taste or smell, poor wound healing, skin abnormalities (such as acne, atopic dermatitis and psoriasis), hair loss, night blindness, hypogonadism and delayed sexual maturation, white spots on the fingernails and feelings of depression.

Fructose is used intravenously as a carbohydrate nutrient. It is converted to liver glycogen and metabolized more rapidly than dextrose without requiring insulin and thus may be used in diabetic patients. Fructose is used for patients requiring fluid replacement and caloric feeding. It is better "nitrogen sparer" than glucose.
Taurine is an ingredient found in mixture products indicated for nutritional support.
The use of diet supplements containing taurine is indicated for the nutritional support of infants and young pediatric patients requiring total parenteral nutrition via central or peripheral routes. The usage of diet supplements containing taurine prevents nitrogen and weight loss or to treat negative nitrogen balance in pediatric patients where the alimentary tract cannot be done through oral, gastrostomy or jejunostomy administration, there is impaired gastrointestinal absorption or protein requirements are substantially increased.
Zinc Sulphate is used for Recurrent Respiratory Tract Infections; Diarrhoea; Loss of appetite; Severe growth retardation; Deformed bone formation; Impaired immunological response; Acrodermatitis enteropathica; Parakeratatic skin lesions; Defective and delayed wound healing; Anaemia; Night blindness; Mental disturbances
Ovazoa M Granule is also used to associated treatment for these conditions: Nausea, Upset stomachTotal parenteral nutrition therapy
How Ovazoa M Granule works
The diet supplements containing taurine function by replacing the missing nutriments in the body. Taurine, as a single agent, presents different functions like substrate for formation of bile salts, cell volume regulation, modulation of intracellular calcium, cytoprotection of central nervous system, etc.

Side Effects
No severe side effects have been reported yet
Intravenous administration of fructose may cause lactic acidosis and hyperuricemia. The rapid infusion of fructose results in facial flushing, abdominal pain and sweating.
In case of zinc mild side effects such as gastric ulcer, nausea, vomiting, metallic taste, headache, drowsiness have been observed.
Toxicity
The administration of taurine has been correlatefd to significant in the hypothalamus and the modification of neuroendocrine functions. Other than that, taurine administration in regular doses is reported by different articles and institutions to be safe.
Precaution
Pregnant women and nursing mothers should avoid Astaxanthin containing supplements.
Fructose should not be given to patients with hereditary fructose intolerance. It should be given with caution to patients with impaired kidney function or severe liver damage.
Infusion of fluid should be immediately discontinued if rigor arises for any reason during the process. Do not use if the solution is cloudy, contains particles, or after expiry date.
Concurrent administration of Zinc salt with penicillamine might diminish the effect of Penicillamine. The absorption of Zinc, although poor, may be decreased by various compounds including some foods. Chelation may occur with tetracyclines.
Interaction
Concomitant intake of Astaxanthin with Cholestyramine, Colestipol, Mineral oil, Orlistat may reduce the absorption rate of Astaxanthin
Zinc may inhibit the absorption of concurrently administered tetracyclines, when both are being given an interval of at least 3 hours.
Volume of Distribution
The distribution of taurine was studied under the two-compartment model and each one of the compartments gave a range for the volume of distribution of 299-353 ml/kg in compartment 1 and 4608-8374 ml/kg in compartment 2 in mice. Further studies in healthy indivudals gave a volume of distribution that ranged from 19.8 to 40.7 L.
Elimination Route
Oral administration of taurine was studied and it reported dose-dependent values of AUC, Cmax and tmax wherein a dose of 1-30 mg/kg ranged from 89-3452 mcg min/L, 2-15.7 mcg min/ml and 15 min respectively. Further studies in healthy individuals gave an AUC, Cmax and tmax in the range of 116-284.5 mg h/L, 59-112.6 mg/L and 1-2.5 h.
Half Life
Oral administration of taurine in healthy individuals gave a plasma elimination half-life that ranged from 0.7-1.4 h.
Clearance
The clearance rate of orally administered taurine was reported to be dose-dependent wherein a dose of 1 mg/kg it presents a clearance rate of 11.7 ml min/kg, 10 mg/kg generates a clearance rate of 18.7 ml min/kg and a dose of 30 mg/kg reports a clearance rate of 9.4 ml min/kg. Further studies in healthy individuals generate a clearance rate that ranged from 14 to 34.4 L/h.
Elimination Route
Taurine flows and gets distributed in veins and arteries and reports have observed the presence of a significant released of taurine in portally drained viscera, thus suggesting that the main elimination route of taurine is by the gut. This elimination route may be explained by the enterohepatic cycle of taurine.
