Patten is a pharmaceutical drug for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It belongs to the class of anti-diabetic drugs known as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors or Gliptins.

How does Patten work?
Patten works by causing the pancreas to release more insulin and decreasing the hormones that cause blood sugar levels to rise.

Teneligliptin is given orally to adults in doses of 20 mg once daily, which can be increased to 40 mg per day.
How long does Patten take to work ?
The maximum percentage of the inhibition in plasma DPP-4 activity was achieved within 2 hours after administration and was 81.3% and 89.7% in the 10 and 20 mg Patten groups, respectively.
How much Patten can I take daily?
Adults can take 20 mg of Patten once a day in general. If the effect isn't strong enough, the dosage can be raised by up to 40 mg once a day.
How long does Patten take to work?
Patten has been systematically evaluated in T2DM as monotherapy with diet and exercise and in combination with metformin, glimepiride, pioglitazone, and insulin in short-term (12 weeks) and long-term (52 weeks) studies.
Is Patten safe in liver disease?
Patten was well tolerated by subjects with hepatic impairment.

Patten may cause low blood sugar which can impair your ability to drive or operate heavy machines. Always keep sugar or chocolate with you while driving. In case you experience any of the symptoms of low blood sugar such as dizziness, drowsiness, sweating, stop driving immediately and have sugar.
What happen If I missed dose of Patten?
If you have missed any dose of Patten then take it as soon as you remember. If it is already time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
What happen if I overdose on Patten?
Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, fainting, sweating, tremors, confusion etc. Seek immediate medical help in case of an overdose.
