Tenevag is a pharmaceutical drug for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It belongs to the class of anti-diabetic drugs known as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors or Gliptins.

The maximum percentage of the inhibition in plasma DPP-4 activity was achieved within 2 hours after administration and was 81.3% and 89.7% in the 10 and 20 mg Tenevag groups, respectively.

How much Tenevag can I take daily?

Adults can take 20 mg of Tenevag once a day in general. If the effect isn't strong enough, the dosage can be raised by up to 40 mg once a day.

Tenevag has been systematically evaluated in T2DM as monotherapy with diet and exercise and in combination with metformin, glimepiride, pioglitazone, and insulin in short-term (12 weeks) and long-term (52 weeks) studies.

What happen If I missed dose of Tenevag?

If you have missed any dose of Tenevag then take it as soon as you remember. If it is already time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed one.

What happen if I overdose on Tenevag?

Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, fainting, sweating, tremors, confusion etc. Seek immediate medical help in case of an overdose.

What happen If I stop taking Tenevag?

Do not stop taking Tenevag without talking to your doctor. If you stop taking Tenevag suddenly your diabetes may get worse. If you want to stop taking your medicine, speak to your doctor. They may be able to suggest an alternative treatment for your diabetes.

Can Tenevag affect my kidney?

The study reported that maximum plasma concentration following a single oral dose of 20 mg Tenevag was unaffected by mild, moderate and severe renal impairment.
