ALS-08 is a proprietary creatine-derivative that is being developed as a potential therapeutic for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). It is being developed by Avicena Group, Inc.
In preclinical models, ALS-08 demonstrated significant neuro-protective effects that have led to increased survival rate, improved motor performance and delayed onset of the disease. It is being tested in combination with two therapies, celecoxib and minocycline, for the treatment of ALS.
