Uses
Embolex is a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) used to prevent blood clots, specifically deep vein thrombosis.
Used in the prevention and treatment of venous thromboembolism (deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism) and in the treatment of myocardial infarction.
Embolex is also used to associated treatment for these conditions: Deep Vein Thrombosis, Thrombotic events caused by General Surgery, Thrombotic events caused by Mobility decreased, Thrombotic events caused by Stroke, Ischemic
Food Interaction
- Avoid herbs and supplements with anticoagulant/antiplatelet activity. Examples include garlic, ginger, bilberry, danshen, piracetam, and ginkgo biloba.
