How Adult-derived hemangioblast stem cells works
Hemangioblasts are stem cells which can differentiate into hematopoietic cells (blood cells)and angiogenic (blood vessel endothelium forming) cells. These cells are being investigated for use in repairing damaged cardiac tissue and preventing the deteriation of the retina in diabetic retinopathy.
